The Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada has released the bankruptcy figures for July 2010 and they show improvement over the prior year. It remains to be seen if the downtrend can be sustained with the uptick in the unemployment figures of the last two months and the lower growth rate in GDP.

Note that while bankruptcies have come off their highs, they are not particularly low.
